At Momul, every cup of tea begins on our lush, sun-kissed farms. We handpick only the finest tea leaves at peak freshness, ensuring bold flavor and natural quality.
Our leaves are carefully withered, rolled, oxidized, and dried using sustainable methods. Every step is guided by expert hands and a deep respect for the land.
Once perfected, the tea is packed at origin to lock in its richness and aroma—ready to be brewed and enjoyed in your cup.

The Process
Step 1: Harvesting – Grown with Care
The journey starts on the fertile slopes of our tea-growing region. Here, our dedicated partner smallholder farmers hand-pluck only the youngest, most tender tea leaves.
Harvesting is done with precision—typically the top two leaves and a bud—to ensure maximum flavor and aroma.
These farmers are the foundation of our success, combining traditional know-how with sustainable farming practices to grow premium-quality tea.
Step 2: Collection – First Checkpoint of Quality
After harvesting, the fresh leaves are delivered to Tea Buying Centers. At this stage:
Leaves are sorted and inspected by trained clerks to ensure they meet our strict quality standards. Once approved, they are weighed, and the quantity is recorded.
The leaves are then ‘sold’ to Momul leaf carriers, who are responsible for transporting them to the factory. This step ensures that only the finest raw material continues the journey to becoming Momul Tea.
Step 3: Transportation – On the Move
The green leaf is loaded onto specialized lorries called leaf carriers.
Upon arrival at Momul Tea Factory, each lorry is: Weighed again to cross-check delivery volumes.
Then offloaded at the receiving bay for immediate processing.
Time is critical at this stage to maintain the freshness and integrity of the leaf.
Step 4: CTC Processing – Crafting the Perfect Cup
Momul is a CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) factory, ideal for producing strong, full-bodied black tea. The processing involves: Withering to reduce moisture.
Crushing, tearing, and curling the leaves into fine particles using rotor vanes and rollers, Fermentation (oxidation) to develop color, flavor, and aroma.
And Finally drying to halt oxidation and lock in the final character of the tea. The result is high-quality black tea, known for its bold flavor and excellent color in the cup.
Step 5: Packaging & Distribution – Ready for the World
Once processed, the tea is carefully packed according to its destination:
Vacuum-Sealed Packs for discerning clients in the Europe, ensuring extended freshness and premium quality upon delivery.
Bulk Packaging for export to international markets,
Value-Added Packaging in smaller branded units for sale at the factory gate and through local dealers.
